Bandai: S.H. Figuarts Avengers: Age of Ultron Hawkeye Video and Quick Pics

I love S.H. Figuarts. They are like holding tiny little humans in my hands. Great articulation, great likeness, great paint. But they have become so consistent in those areas that when something is missing or not up to snuff it really stands out. For the most part, the Avengers: Age of Ultron Hawkeye is an awesome figure. For the most part.

And it seems like nitpicking but like I said, there is a certain standard when it comes to SHF. For instance, Clint is missing the drop-down hips. Now I realize not every figure gets that feature, but the majority of mine do have it. It adds a lot to the range of movement in the legs and when it’s not there it’s noticed. Also, Hawkeye’s hair is way too dark. Renner has a dark brown hair color and on the figure it’s nearly black with maybe a hint of brown in places. It’s especially worse in pictures. And then the height, but that can be hidden with some action poses.

But it’s hard to call this a bad figure. It may not match up perfectly with Captain America but the figure itself is solid. And before you say that the face looks weird, remember that the exact same thing is said about every Figuarts using the face printing tech. In macro pics and up-close, yeah, it looks rough. At normal distance and on the shelf, it looks amazing.
