We got some pictures of some of the interesting offerings from DC Collectibles on Preview Night and the first day of SDCC. Check out some more pics from DCC at SDCC.
The dominant display in the DC collectibles area is their Icons line. They have been shown before, but it was nice to see them all displayed together with all the accessories. The uniform style is really nice, but the lack of thigh swivels is probably going to keep me out of this line.
On Thursday they added a new Joker, Green Lantern and Firestorm figure to the display. All three are very good looking, but the Joker was the standout for me. I love the trenchcoat and hat look and the overall vibe had a very classic Jim Aparo feel to me. The accessories are neat, too. I don’t remember the Joker ever using a Tommy gun, but it feels right.
There were some Arkham Knight figures on display including the most disturbing Man-Bat design I have ever seen. Seriously nightmare inducing. The Professor Pyg is nice to see as he’s a relatively new character and he’s depicted well.
Finally for today, I liked the Malcom Merlin unmasked figure on display for the Arrow line. I was excited to see Captain Cold and Heatwave, but the way they were positioned in the diorama made them hard to view.
