You gotta love when a company goes out on a limb to bring us something different. figma is launching a line of action figures based on classic sculptures from some the best artists to walk the earth. They are launching with Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker. Talk about going out on a limb.
Rodin is one of my favorite sculptors, his Gates of Hell is an amazing piece of art. In one of our family visits to Paris we spent the day at the Musée Rodin and it was an amazing experience to walk the gardens.
figma is listing this figure at 155mm, putting it at a little over 6 inches. The question that I have is that 6 inches as the statue, sculpture, sitting on his rock; or is the actual figure 6 inches tall? If the size is based on the statue that means that will be a monster figure.
Thinker will be a great addition to your action figure collections and dioramas, I have these fantasies of Arnim Zola bringing the statue to life to fight the Avengers. Or something like that.
