Yesterday as I trudged home from my 9-5, decompressed with some Dark Souls 2 DLC, spoke to my wife about my session with my physical therapist and thought about taking some more pics of the remaining S.H. Figuarts Power Rangers for some upcoming reviews; I looked down at the Four Horsemen box of toys. You know the ones, anthropomorphic figures set in fantasy worlds? Yeah the Minotaur, the Elephant, the Demon, the Queen. Those.
And in one brisk fwoosh I was taken back to the floor of the San Diego Comic Con.
The floor space where the Four Horsemen staked out their claim to pop culture. The floor space that left me with my jaw hanging as I looked at the Ravens. You remember, right? Those magnificent bird warriors, ready to invade my collection. Ooooh they looked amazing. I saw people playing with them, touching them, turning them over in their hands. I was too afraid to touch them, I have a habit of breaking toys. And these were too beautiful to risk.
As VeeBee spoke with Eric Treadaway and Eric “Cornboy” Mayse, I would hear bits and pieces, but in the end I was lost in the magnificence of these birds. I kept turning it over in my head, which one will get displayed, which one will I pose with Howard the Duck, which one… ahhh…
*ahem*
