Ugh, the dreaded down time between toy shows. You know what I mean. Toy Fair is a distant memory, too early to get excited about SDCC. Sure, there are things here and there but you get addicted to that high of non-stop news hitting you from all sides for weeks. Then nothing. And empty space. A hole a man has to fill with internet arguments and fruitless store searches. When we start to question our hobby and the money spent on it. Then a picture of the next series pops up and BAM, right back into the fray. Preorder? You betcha! NOW. Done, good as got. What’s next?
This broke late last night but I only now have the chance to sit at the computer. Third party Transformers company Fanstoys revealed more pictures of their Iron Dibots FT-05 Soar. Or to us nostalgic types, Dinobot Swoop. Not Swoop.
It wasn’t until now that I realize that I really want more than Grimlock. Man, that is one good looking Swoop. But part of me (most of me) wants to see the whole team together, especially FansToys Grimlock. Decisions decisions. If I can only get one I must get Snarl. He was always my favorite as a kid, at least toy-wise.
Soar is available in cartoon blue or original toy red right now on BigBadToyStore with a $10 discount for preordering early.
NECA posted another Monkey Monday, this time featuring Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Maurice looking chill.

Speaking of “Dawn” movies, here is Max Factory’s Figma Dawn of the Dead Flyboy.
Anyone else excited the horror shelves runneth over with good, articulated toys lately?
From the legendary zombie horror film, ‘Dawn of the Dead’ comes a figma of Stephen’s completely changed form!
- The unique coloring of the zombie body has been faithfully preserved in figma form.
- Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of zombie action scenes.
- Along with his standard expression, he also comes with a damaged expression with blood spray parts and a head part to recreate the ‘Machete Zombie’.
- The blood spray parts can be removed and attached to arms or legs, allowing you to pose him as if limbs were torn off.
- An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.
Available sometime in August, look for Flyboy to run about $50.
And then there’s this…
Found this on BigBadToyStore. The only thing greater than a Darth Vader toaster would be a Han in Carbonite refrigerator.
Please Note: Depending on the type of bread used and the duration of toasting, your toast may differ from what is pictured in the promotional material above. The toast pictured above was produced by a trained professional. It is important to remember that toast is like a snowflake, each piece is unique and beautiful in it’s own way.
But I don’t like my toast on the Dark Side…
