Square Enix Products Facebook Page posted pics for the upcoming Appleseed Deunan and Briareos, these look to be 1/10 scaled figures landing around 11+ inches for Briareos and 9+ inches for Deunan. These figures look amazing and continue to capture the beautiful style of Play Arts while keeping to the original traits of the Manga/Anime.
I covered Wave’s 1/10 offerings a while back as placeholders until someone makes 1/12 versions. The wave figures were solid for their time and I can only imagine the Play Arts versions will be superior in every aspect. Plus they will be readily available. Finding affordable wave version is a challenge and the ones that I have weren’t cheap to come by. Play Arts Kai will give those that missed out a chance to add some fan favorite characters to their collections.
I’m a huge fan of the Manga and Anime that comes from Masamune Shirow, he’s one of my favorite creators and getting super poseable detailed action figures of his stuff is a dream.
