I’ve been prepping for Captain America: The Winter Soldier by watching The First Avenger. I’ve watched it twice this week. I love this movie, probably more than any of the other Marvel movie so far except Avengers. But my favorite parts probably aren’t the same as most people’s. I love the puny Steve Rogers parts. Usually in superhero movies I’m lulling during the origin parts. Get to the hero parts! But not here. The defining moment of the movie for me is when Rogers jumps on the dummy grenade. Just a perfect “Hey, this guy is meant for greatness. Not because we wants it, just because he was born into it.” moment.
Anyway, Hot Toys revealed their Winter Soldier figure this morning and it looks fantastic! Yeah, it’s a spoiler, but anyone who has read the comic knows his identity. Hell, even if you haven’t read the comic, the trailers and media have made no attempt to keep his identity a secret. So stop right here if you’ve been living under a rock for the past 10 years.
Okay, the hair and make-up obscure who it is slightly, but come on.
