A weekend update!
I had to take a quick trip across fwooshland to help a friend out and wasn’t able to give you a Morning Rush or Wolverine Legends Emma Frost review yesterday. It happens, it’s a reminder that this isn’t a full time gig for us and that beyond this fantastic hobby there is a real world that we are bound to.
Disqus, we installed it. For a couple of years we’ve been looking into a commenting system to replace the native wordpress commenting system on the fwoosh. We tried a couple but decided to go with Disqus, Love it, hate it, it is what are using. One of the big reasons we went with disqus is they are one of the providers that has single sign on (SSO), you can use Google, Twitter or Facebook to sign on. We are also looking into options with using the fwoosh forum ID as well.
Toy Fair is upon on and we are finally getting some news. DC Collectibles dropped a huge load on us and I have to say I am loving what I see out of them right now. If it’s in scale with my DCUC collection it’s bought! Funko also unloaded a ton of press pics, check out Robokillah’s Fwoosh Happy Hour from yesterday. And Hagop is gathering questions for Hasbro, you may not know that he is doing that, but he is, post your questions here. VeeBee and Hagop are both in full swing with preparation, pleas feel free to post questions here, they are being read, we can’t promise we will follow up on everything but we will try.
Finally, I wanted to post a huge Valentine’s Day I love you to the staff at the fwoosh. All the guys here volunteer their time to bring you this great word content, picture content, and a smooth running forum. They are often hated and under appreciated by the community, but I guarantee you they are not on my end. I am proud of this crew and what they volunteer on a daily basis. As you fwooshers are slamming the front page and the boards over the next few days with love, hate, excitement, rage about Toy Fair, keep in mind the guys keeping it all together are doing it out of love for the community and hobby. They will do their best to keep you up to date and they will make decisions that are best for the community. They are good guys, remember that when you want to rage bomb the Marvel Forum.
