Third-party team FanToys released images of their upcoming Masterpiece-scale “Shockwave” today and the Transformers world is buzzing with excitement. Many of us have been begging HasTak for a proper Masterpiece Shockwave for years, and it appears someone has beaten them to the punch yet again. This guy should be in scale with MP-10 from what I’ve read, which is perfect.
In terms of just the ‘bot mode’s sculpt, it looks fantastic. This really looks like it could be the Shockwave many of us have waited years for. It’s all going to come down to the final, finished paint job and the alt mode, but I’m expecting great things from those areas as well just because of how great the ‘bot mode looks. And it looks as though they could be hinting at a light-up feature, which would just be icing on the cake.
All we know right now is he’s due sometime in February and should cost around $150, which doesn’t seem bad at all considering it’s a third-party piece. Hopefully all the usual online retailers will have him available.
