Marvel Legends – Young Avengers Box Set

The Young Avengers is an uber popular comic that resonates with the current young comic readers as well as reaching the older generation. With some hip writing, fantastic penciling, and new characters to learn about this is a great team in development. Toy Biz decided to jump on their popularity and give us some figures based on them.

Patriot

The leader of the team uses an all new buck that looks like it is more suited for Cap’s sidekick Bucky. But it works in this case. The legs are bit long, but it does give the character that teenage look. All the articulation of a Marvel Legend is there.

Iron Lad

Is the weakest link in this set. We all know that Iron Lad is Kang, a human, and that this figure looks more like a sad robot than a kid wearing a suit of armor. I’m not certain what the purpose of this is, but it looks off. Plus the articulation is a mess, there are a number of joints missing.

Asguardian

Another strong entry like that of Patriot this is a fantastic sculpt! I love this figure. It’s another strong entry into Marvel Legends and all the articulation is there. It’s a fun figure to pose.

Hulkling

The final figure of the wave and I have mixed feelings about the figure. I like Hulking as a concept and I like the figure, but the legs are a bit off for me. I think its the very long shins and the short thighs, combined with the odd flow of the thigh into the ball hip it’s a strange look. I can see the possibility, but the execution seems off.
