My optimism for getting Hank or Janet is pretty low at this point. I am considering kitbashing my own at this point. I don't really see another window for them to come at this stage. Especially since we have nothing pointing towards another Saga series anytime soon or any kind of store exclusives/Pulse offerings coming
All true and right, yeah. I still hope for something next year at least, but it will probably be more Iron Men, Caps, and Thors packed with a new villain or supporting character we've been wanting.
I hope for something next year as well. But feels like the MCU stuff is not getting focus outside of the tie in waves and D+ ones. Just seems like we're getting Comic Anniversey waves. I'd like to be more optimistic, but def feels like that's what is happening in given the lack of Con Ex movie offerings last couple years and how the Spidey and likely Avengers thing is going. Maybe we'll get a Multiverse Saga line after Secret Wars or something. Or a M20th when legends will be 40 bucks a pop lol

That's funny, I was working on my projections and planning my fun money etc, and looking down the road I was already preparing for the price hikes as well. I am bracing for $2 or so every year.

Some people have asked about the source material for this Ultron. It reminds me of Ultron’s modernized classic look in Rage of Ultron:

Alot of the inking in how they depicted silver made him look more blue tinged than strictly silver over the years, so it's a nice alternative.

This is a perfect wave for me. I am very excited as a fool that collects comic and MCU Marvel Legends. Ant-Man is probably my favorite Marvel character though, so I am a tad bias. Love, love, love Egghead and Future Ant-Man (that series last year was great by the way).

Can we get the Protector next?

Sculpting Cassie's shoelace ties onto the shoes and then breaking them with the articulation was certainly a choice. I can understand maybe not doing them as a separate softer plastic piece. But really, nobody suggested just omitting the ends to clean up the sculpt?

Crossfire and FAM are the latest victims of DUMBASS LEG SCULPT. Twenty five dollars to still have this unholy garbage going on. Never buying a pigeon toed comic buck ever again. Kind of sad when Egghead of all things has a better neutral pose.

I have NEVER used a calf cut and I never will. It looks terrible in any position other than neutral. It's the worst point of articulation and I don't like that it was ever designed.

Calf cuts certainly do seem weird given that the human leg doesn't move that way. Why doesn't Hasbro do what Mafex and Figuarts do by making the ankles a ball joint that can swivel and hinge like Legends can but also rotate on the ankle? Ankle rotation would make calf rotation unnecessary, although it, too, isn't anything the human body does. But at least ankle rotation has far more use than upper calf rotation...I end up using it to varying extents with almost every pose I do with the import figures.

I assume ankle balls are just a bit harder and therefore more expensive, but I don't really know if that's the case.

McFarlane has also been doing this, although theirs haven't been integrated as well as Figuarts, especially in the wrists. It's a nice point of articulation when it's done well. I'm sure it's more expensive because it requires more parts.

So weird that its against the Sokovia Accords or whatever they are called for superhumans below the age of 20 to wear anything other than Chuck Taylors in the MCU.

I love all the comic goodness in this wave with Egghead, Crossfire and a new Ultron. Always my first buys. That being said I am slowly being pulled towards buying more MCU with as good as the figures have gotten lately with the face printing and details. Look forward to the rest of reveals for the year. Hopefully more to come this week. My only draw back is the price increases with no increase in my collecting budget unfortunately. I am having to take longer to get what I want but so far I have been able to - eventually.

My guess is Disney wants the MCU stuff to be looking forward for the most part. I suspect in a few years we will get a "Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars" revisited series to fill in some gaps, like the 10th Marvel Studios wave, but they need to build up some backlog from Phase 4 to 6 first.

Unfortunately, I'd guess Phase 1 to 3 is likely mostly in the rearview mirror in terms of Hasbro's plans.

We're getting that Best Of wave this year, which some of us suspect will just be repaints, so... Yeah, even when they do more phase 1-3 stuff, it isn't really new.

The Kang figure is alright. The only worthwhile one of the Wave.

It's weird these are coming out so late.

It allows us to see the movie first to know whether this Kang is just a one-off variant that is killed off, and not the main one from Avengers 5.

Should have clarified - new sculpts of never done before characters from Phase 1 to 3 is likely not in the cards, just my guess.
