speculation on who the 8 core characters are?

I think I see, from top to bottom, left to right: He-Man, Trap Jaw, Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Man-at-Arms, Teela, Beast-Man and ???

I’m really hoping this can fill the void left by the end of Masters of the Universe Classics. It would be cool to see some original interpretations of the characters for the new show with the primary details of the original show/toys.

I'm in. I am loving this! Mattel bringing back my favorite franchise in full force. I'm in for Minis, I'm in for Origins, and now I'm in for Masterverse. This does excite me the most though. I have a complete MOTU Classics Collection. And this sounds like an extension of it, and that it will cover multi media. I'm sure we will get classic looking figures, and figures of the new cartoon. But this could give us DC Comics looks, 200X, NA, Mini Comics, the newer mini comic characters, etc.

So many possibilities, and they go with MOTU Classics. All in.

This is an awesome announcement! Man I really hope this line comes out sooner than next summer. A brand new He-Man line that is not on the MOTU buck is exciting!

30+ points of articulation has got me feeling hopeful. I have a few of the Motuc figures & I generally liked them, but they're really stiff & limited when it comes to posing.

A 200X Skeletor is a big want of mine along with a few other versions I hope to see sprinkled in. Like the DC comics crossover, Injustice Shazam powered, I even want Multiverse Grayskull powered Keldor He-Man and Battle Panthor.

[email protected]#$ sake. They're gonna try to pull me in to yet another MOTU line and if these look fairly good, they will absolutely succeed.
I have to admit to being only cautiously optimistic here and not full on OMG excited. This is Mattel after all. Not the -best- track record with super-articulated figures and even the silhouette doesn't have me convinced these aren't going to have weird-ass proportions. Could be a REALLY amazing line, though.

I'm kind of tired of companies revealing a line without revealing even a single figure. It's just hard to get excited not having any idea what something will even look like, ya' know?

It’s going to depend on whether they take this seriously as an opportunity to earn some goodwill. But as a Mattel line of $19.99 figures, I have strong doubts about this line actually having collector-grade figures.
