Thanks Andron! Actually, it's Casey's look from the new (Well, a couple seasons now) Nickelodeon TMNT Cartoon! That's actually why I love the design so much. Casey's a bit younger on the show, but still incredibly awesome, so the fact that essentially revamped his entire set of digs and STILL managed to capture the feel of the character made me fall in love with it the first time I saw him on the show. I can't remember if I posted this before or not... one of my favorite Spiderman covers was from Back in Black by Ron Garney. I have had this massive canvas staring at me for well over a year. I couldn't think of what to do with it and finally came across that cover saved in my computer and I thought it would make an awesome painting in that scale. Better still, I wanted to add color and do the classic costume to make it my own. I'm not sure how to hang it, it's just so big, but it is so cool having it take up a wall in my living room.

I still have more detail to add and I want to fix the spider logo and eye lenses for sure.

This is just an image collecting the design sketches I have made so far for a line of figures I'm having produced that are inspired by a novel that I and a colleague are working on. The first figure is being prototyped at the moment (this is heavily inspired by MOTU obviously).

I haven't painted in some time, between going back to work and dealing with this dumb shoulder after surgery, I've struggled to get back into it. But what started as a warmup has turned into a lot of fun. Wolverine is certainly one of my favorite characters. I couldn't help but get more into this than I intended. I plan to flesh out the base colors and then go back to make some more dramatic lighting.
