Hasbro: Star Wars Black Series Zorii Bliss

I’m a fan of the Sequel Trilogy films, but they don’t spend enough time with the scum and villainy side of things for my taste. Zorii Bliss is about as close as the films get to scratching that bounty hunter aesthetic I really enjoy, so I’ve been looking forward to this figure a lot. Let’s take a look at the Black Series Zorii Bliss!

Zorii comes in you standard Black Series box that shows off the figure and a nice illustration of the character.

Zorii comes with two matching blaster pistols and a removeable visor.

The pistols have sharp sculpting and clean gold paint that adds a bit of an art deco feel to the flintlock style design. They fit securely in the holsters and her hands and the wrist articulation in both hands hinges up/down so she looks good dual wielding weapons.

The visor is removeable just like in the film and it fits on securely via pegs on the side of the face. The eyes have that printed look that can feel pixelated when magnified like in the first two photos above, but eerily realistic at normal viewing distance. I’ll probably display her with the visor on, just so I don’t lose the tiny thing, but I love that they went the extra mile to include that feature. It’s really well done.

The sculpting on Zorii is fantastic. There is so much texture detail in the outfit and techno detail on the helmet and overall the figure is well proportioned and on model.

Paint is very good too and washes are used to highlight a lot of the nice sculpted detail in the belts and mask.

Articulation is also really great. Zorii has:

  • Swivel/hinge shoulders, elbows, hips, wrists, and ankles
  • Swivel thighs and boots
  • Ball and socket neck, head, and mid-torso
  • Double hinged knees

All of the articulation moves really well , though since the holsters are attached to the thighs and to the belt, kneeling can lead the belt to ride up a bit. The mid-torso also gets very minimal forward movement, but good side to side and backward arching.

The dual ball and socket at the neck and head allows for some very nice head movement. I really hope the continue to do this whenever they can work it in.

Overall Zorii is a fabulous figure that’s a ton of fun to play with. Hasbro nailed this one and made a great toy from one of the more interesting designs from The Rise of Skywalker.
