Good Smile Company: figma Kyukyoku!! Hentai Kamen

Never heard of Hentai Kamen? Oh, you’re about to learn all about him.

Well, okay, more like a brief overview. Mostly what I just learned from Googling and YouTube after seeing this figure and thinking “WTF?” to myself.

Kyūkyoku!! Hentai Kamen (究極!!変態仮面?, lit. “Ultimate!! Pervert Mask”) is a comedy manga series written and illustrated by Keishū Ando. It was originally serialized in the Shūeisha shōnen anthology magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump between 1992 and 1993. The series tells the tale of a young martial artist who transforms into a bizarre hero of justice by wearing a pair of panties on his head. A live action film adaptation titled Hentai Kamen was released in 2013. It was followed by a second film, Hentai Kamen: Abnormal Crisis, in 2016.

The figure is based off the manga but you could use it on the live action shelf too since it seems the greatest print to screen adaptation of a costume in the history of awesomeness. Just look at the trailer for Hentai Kamen:

There is justice in being a pervert

For the sake of the world, let me borrow your panties

Why didn’t I know about this sooner?

Anyway, the figure.

Freeing has outdone themselves this time, perfectly adapting the character to plastic. I mean, as far as I can tell from the past ten minutes of crash coursing through YouTube clips. Alternate hands (thwip hands?) and an alternate panty-covered head along with a stand, it comes with everything it needs. Except for shiny glitter for the Gold Power Bomb.

figma Hentai Kamen releases in July of 2017 and will cost about $50. I can’t wait…

  1. Pretty sure I’d get one of those female real dolls before I got that. That’s just too far out for me. lol

  2. Don’t ya just, though? It’s great that what we think is crazy, they think is common.

  3. I will never be afraid to admit I used to read the hell out of the manga. ITs such an insane concept that I can’t help but admire it. Would I get the figure? Probably not, but admittedly it’ll look great next to my Kill La Kill Figmas

  4. I’d be worried about the straps across the body. I had the Kill La Kill figmas a while back and I was always afraid of twisting their torsos too far and snapping the rubbery plastic.

  5. It’s kind of appropriate considering Figma’s going to make Deadpool. I can see these two guys hanging out. One is sex and one is violence…

  6. Literally knew nothing about this character when I saw it last night but still ordered with the quickness.
