I will forego any Fresh Prince action figure jokes. All I’m going to say is the S.H. Figuarts Suicide Squad Deadshot looks amazing. But c’mon, a Bandai Collector’s Shop exclusive? I don’t know.
We already know that the Figuarts Harley is a thing of beauty, but I’m not too impressed with the SHF Joker. Deadshot was my tipping factor between the Figuarts and the MAFEX, who have been upping their QC game lately and their Harley, Joker, and Deadshot look pretty good too. Plus there’s already an alternate Joker and Harley being solicited. And while this Figuarts Deadshot looks fantastic, making certain figures exclusive is starting to leave a sour taste in my mouth. Sure, sure, I understand why, but I guess I’m tired of the hoops.
But that’s tonight. Tomorrow I’ll probably be scouring the overseas sites for a pre-order. Collecting is funny like that.
Deadshot comes with a masked and unmasked head, two sets of hands, and a rifle.
The figure won’t be available on most of the usual import sites like Amiami and HLJ, you’ll have to go hunting on nippon-yasan or anime-export for a cash-up-front pre-order. The MSRP is 6480 yen ($55) and will go on sale December 27th for a May 2017 release.
