Hasbro: Star Wars The Force Awakens Black Series Wave Two First Look

Hasbro Star Wars The Force Awakens The Black Series First Order Poe Dameron Featured

Star Wars The Force Awakens The Black Series 6-inch action figures started hitting retail today, and I was lucky enough to stop by Toys R Us and Toy Kingdom in Manila to pick up some of the figures. After some chatting with Industrial, VeeBee, and Robokillah, I picked up the First Order Storm Trooper, Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron, Guavian Enforcer, and Constable Zuvio. I’m a bit out of my element as I am only equipped with an iPhone 4s; in other words, no tripod, only natural light, and plenty of shaky fingers (note to self: buy iPhone tripod thingy). I apologize for the quality of the pictures.

I don’t have much to say as I haven’t had time to absorb the figures, but I am loving the Stormtrooper, Phasma, and Poe. Phasma is huge! And he looks good, but the cape is stiff. Poe comes with two hands, but the pilot gloves have no wrist ball-joint, which I find . . . annoying. Right, on to the pics!

  1. I would hope so. since the actress is 6′ 3″!!! Plasma should tower over the other FO STs. Glad they didn’t skimp.

  2. Wire would be bonus, but I’d be happy with any kind of soft goods for the cape. Anything would be better than a rigid mold! Yuck…

  3. Wonderful impromptu photog skills, Mr.Wolf. Impressive. Most impressive.
The Force is strong through your use of light and able iphone,Pabs! ☺

  4. I do like the four inches better.
However, the scale has been questionable lately-and Hasbro needs to bring back vanity figure display stands(FDS)

  5. Gwendoline Christie is 6’3″, David Prowse is 6’5″ and Peter Mayhew is 7’2″, so the scale is definitely off.

  6. Agreed. In this particular instance at least, the eyes look awful. Rey’s face in general is just awful. I’m waiting for something better from Figuarts.

  7. Ask some people and they’ll tell you they are painted better than Figuarts.?

It’s the biggest downfall on the Poe figure. The paint wash and details are awesome. The eyes are Marty Feldman.

  8. guavian enforcer looks like a marvel baddie .. plus nice to see some more females in the star wars universe at last

  9. I actually don’t think the eyes are worse than the 4”, just that Hasbro’s basically doing the same paint app on the 6” as on the 4”. It just doesn’t scale up. It’s passable, but the 6” line is clearly just a large version of the 4” line rather than a true premium line.

  10. Wow, this is how Phasma height should be? She looks really huge besides the trooper. Much higher than Vader and almost as high as Chewie! Great report Pablolobo!

  11. The Guavian Enforcer looks like one of those super specialized Cobra Troopers. I kinda wish Phasma’s cape was soft goods, but she looks really great either way.

  12. I really wish Hasbro would fire the people who are painting the eyes on
the Star Wars 6 inch…..they’re atrocious! The 4 inch figures are great, you’d think they could manage the same thing on 6 inch figures.

  13. I really wish Hasbro would fire the people who are painting the eyes on the Star Wars 6 inch…..they’re atrocious! The 4 inch figures are great, so are the Marvel Legends. These 6 inch figures……..sigh
