A little more information and a couple of more pictures of the S.H. Figuarts Luke Skywalker based on his look from Return of the Jedi.
S.H. Figuarts has been the slow starter of the overseas deluge of Star Wars product. Don’t get me wrong, all of the import lines are in their infant stage. The model kits are only three releases in with Vader, Stormtrooper, and R2/R5. Kaiyodo has released Vader, C-3PO, R2, and a Stormtrooper in their Revo line. Okay, MAFEX Vader and Trooper hasn’t released yet either, so they are neck and neck with Bandai in releasing the same two figures at nearly the same time. Vader and a Stormtrooper. Noticing a pattern? Armor, droids, and more armor.
But S.H. Figuarts is bucking that trend by making a Luke Skywalker. We saw a teaser a while back but this new scan shows that the hair and heads are seemingly interchangeable.
He also seems to come with an alternate unmasked Darth Vader head.
The problem for 1:12 collectors is that the Figuarts line may be a little small. Vader is listed as 6.1 inches, while Luke is 5.5 inches. But, they have teased other releases like ANH Luke and Han, so maybe a whole new line in a slightly smaller scale is your thing?
