Hey folks– tons of Marvel stuff to report, but perhaps the biggest news is yet another Legends “sub-line”. Spinning off from this year’s Wolverine movie, will be a line of comic inspired 6″ Wolverine Legends, complete with a Build-a-Figure: Puck.
Figures will include Wolverine (and Wolvie variant), all new Emma Frost, Phoenix 5 Cyclops, Rogue (all new green outfit), and Sabertooth (on, I believe, the Hyperion buck).
Of course, we already know about the Iron Man 3 Legends sub line, but I can confirm that wave 2 includes a comic Ultron, Iron Patriot (movie design) and Iron Man mk42 (from the movie). The Iron Monger BaF should stand about 8″ tall (perfect, in my book).
But don’t forget–there is still Original Recipe Legends! Wave 3 for 2013 will have Rocket Raccoon for it’s “mini BaF” (with articulated jaw!) and includes Hawkeye in both the Heroic Age and current comic looks (as variants), Wrecker/Bulldozer (as variants) Jean Grey in THREE running changes: white Phoenix, Jim Lee, and Age of Apocalypse. Also included are Black Panther (the proto shown today had better paint apps than the one at NYCC, with the proper gloves/boots), and “Scarlet Spider-Man”.
For wave 4, they teased that we’ll see Songbird and Moonstone in their Thunderbolts designs, as well as classic villains Batroc and Blizzard!
The 3.75″ Marvel offerings will be diverse. There will be figures to support the new animated Avengers TV show, as well as the Wolverine, Iron Man, and Thor movies and Spider-Man figures in that scale (some seem to blend with Marvel Universe better than others). Of course, the flagship Marvel Universe line continues, with team packs: Thor: Thor/Valkyrie/Skurge; West Coast Avengers: Hawkeye/Mockingbird/War Machine; and X-Men: “ColossoNaut”, Emma Frost, and Cyclops. We’ll also see Abomination with an A-Bomb variant, Cloak and Dagger, Baron Zemo II and more.
