Aaah Bambaboss, you little freaky piece of vinyl. Beyond all the robots and humans, if there is one toy that ThreeA Toys produces that is truly “designer,” it is this little freak of an individual–the Bambaboss. The origins of this little fella seem to be in the World War Robot universe and he’s tied to a Rothchild creation. But in the Ashley Wood universe, who knows for certain?
Recently, ThreeA Toys dropped two announcements: one for a new Bambaboss sculpt and the other a glow-in-the-dark version featuring the new Sculpt.
This particular red creation is the 1/12 version of the Taiboss, known as Devil Bamba. This design was an exclusive to the Taipei Con.
Bambaboss comes with three different faces. I have no idea what they represent, but they are cute, spooky, expressive, and unsettling at the same time. They are a bitch to pop off and they don’t rotate much when stuck in the hoodie.
These things are packed with limited articulation: swivelly hands and feet, and that’s it. There isn’t much to them, yet I had loads of fun posing/placing him on desk and counter tops. I look forward to seeing the new articulated version in action.
