Welcome to Gleek Week 2009! Thanks to a coordinated effort from Mattel’s Scott Neitlich (aka Toy Guru) and your very own Fwoosh Faithful, we have a very unique opportunity for those of you that were not able to come by your personal copy of this summer’s most in-demand blue monkey – Gleek!
That’s right, Gleeks have invaded Fwoosh Central and they are in need new homes – your homes! As a gift to our community we will be giving away a couple of handfuls of Gleek Figures that were handed to us by Toy Guru himself. That way, the Wonder Twins set that you buy from Matty Collector next Monday will be complete! How’s that for a Post-SDCC surprise? Pretty good, eh? So, how can get your paws on one? Well, let’s get to giveaway rules and fine print.
We are running a “Caption the Picture” Thread in the forums.
Entrance Criteria
- To enter, simply write a “caption” to the picture posted above and post it in this thread in the forum. It can be dialogue, a title or an explanation of the picture, just so long as the entire caption is posted within one post.
- The drawing will be open to Fwoosh members registered prior to Monday, July 27th 2009 ONLY. This is a gift to our current community so we are not accepting entries from non-Fwoosh members.
- You must be over 18 to enter.
*Note: entries thought to be outside of the above criteria may be removed from consideration without the entrant being notified.
Prize Drawing
- Caption posters will be drawn AT RANDOM each day during the giveaway until our Gleek stock is exhausted. So enter early!
Fine Print
- The entry period will end at 11:59 pm CST on Friday, July 31st. No entries will be accepted after that time. This way you will know if you have won before the Wonder Twins set goes on sale at Matty Collector on August 3rd.
- Selected winners within the U.S. (United States) will be responsible for a $6.00 shipping and handling charge payable through PayPal ONLY. We cannot accept check, Money Orders or any alternate form of payment, sorry. International members will be responsible for the actual cost of shipping and handling (via PayPal) determined by location. The charge is for S&H only, not for Gleek, he is a free gift figure.
- The selected winners will be contacted via Private Message with payment information and will have 24 hours to respond with their shipping information as well as their Paypal address (so we know who has paid). If you do not respond within 24 hours, you will be disqualified and we will choose another winner.
- Winners will have until Friday, August 7th to pay all shipping and handling charges. If you do not pay by that date, we will draw another name.
- Members are limited to ONE entry in the caption thread. Once you have entered your post will stay in the pool, so multiple entries are not needed and will not be accepted. Also, if you already have a Gleek, let other people have a chance to win one. We have multiple ways of knowing who you are, so don’t attempt to pull one over on us, this is fun, not for profit. For anyone.
- Once you have been chosen and have accepted you will be removed from future chances to win another Gleek. One entry per person and one Gleek per entrant.
- The Caption Thread is for picture captioning ONLY, we have a separate discussion thread located [here]. Post your caption and then talk about it in the discussion thread.
- Staff members at TheFwoosh.com, and employees of Mattel are not eligible for this contest (sorry guys!)
- By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to hold TheFwoosh.com and Mattel, Inc. and their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of the use or redemption of the prizes.
